Weekly Classes

Many people enjoy pottery classes, whether it be for the creative thrill, the enjoyment of working and creating something with ones hands, or for focus and relaxation.

Classes are typically unstructured, but Suzanne will introduce you to various techniques over the weeks for you to experience and experiment.  These will include construction techniques such as

• throwing on the wheel, hand building techniques, including coiling, slab building, and sculpture, Slip-casting

In addition, there are a vast variety of decoration techniques which can be tried, including:-

• Slip Trailing, Sgraffitto, Underglazes, Glazing, Overglazing & Lustres

The pottery studio is well equipped, and will support almost any sort of pottery technique (apart from salt & soda glazing). On an occasional basis there will be opportunities for pots to be fired in more unusual ways - Raku, Smoke Firing, and Reduction Firing.

Tuesday evenings 7.30pm -9.30pm

Tuesday day time  10am - 1pm
