Food

We provide home cooked food, as part of your weekend or day course. The intention is to always use quality simple ingredients and know what has been done to them (hopefully nothing) and where they come from. We grow our own organic vegetables and salads, which we use in our cooking along with fresh herbs from the herb garden. We have a flare for cooking vegetarian food and are of the opinion that veggie food should be as interesting and tasty as any other type of food, should you wish to eat vegetarian.  However, we are very happy to provide meat and fish, and purchase our meat and poultry locally from free range organic farms, such as Kelly's Farm in Danbury, which prides itself on high standards of animal welfare and producing a quality product and has a recommendation from "Delia" in her Christmas recipe book.  We also have our own cluck of bantams and rescue chickens for a plentiful supply of eggs!

During a typical one day course, food and refreshments typically include:

Morning coffee/tea with homemade biscuits

-

Lunch

An example of the type of lunch we provide is

Salmon en Croute with fresh vegetables

White Chocolate Cheesecake and raspberry coulis topping

-

Afternoon tea & homemade cake

For those staying with us overnight, a full English Breakfast is provided, if desired.

Food preferences and allergies can be accommodated - just ask!
