Our Animal Friends
We are aided and frequently distracted by our friendly clan of pets including Jasper and Scamper (the cats). We used to also have two delightful dogs, Rufus and Humbug as the canine doorbell of the pottery, however unfortunately they are no longer with us.
Unfortunately our two dogs (a black Labrador named Rufus and a Springer Spaniel named Humbug) have succumbed to the difficulties of old age over the last 2 years, but we have just been joined by a new bouncing lady black Labrador puppy, shown above in the snow! She has grown considerable - see Phoebe’s page.
We also have a small flock of hens: 8 Bantams of various types, mostly Pekins, and 3 recently acquired rescue hens (with “huge” eggs). They all lay lovely eggs for us and spend their days happily roaming around their pen, or the larger garden when let out to roam on a daily basis....
