About Us......

We are a husband and wife team (Neil & Suzanne) based in Butts Green, near Sandon in Essex.

We have both been occasional amateur potters for some years, primarily by attending adult evening classes (before the local authority closed them down!). Several years ago we decided to buy our own electric wheel so that we could do some pottery at home. Since then it has grown into a real passion, with both of us spending most of our spare time potting. Sometimes we work seperately, but sometimes we work as a team, each doing different elements of the same pots.

We have gradually grown in experience and skill, aided by occasional short courses. Many of our friends (and relatives) have told us how they like our work, and with their encouragement we started to sell our work.

As we have developed our studio & workshop has also grown accordingly, adding kiln, pugmill, water supply, etc.

We are aided and frequently distracted by our friendly pets, Rufus and Humbug (the dogs) as well as Jasper and Scamper (the cats). If you visit us the dogs will bark at you - this is their job! The canine doorbell of the pottery.
